Angels Really Do Have The Best of Views On Top of Berlin’s Cathedral
The Supreme Parish and Collegiate Church in Central Berlin (Berlin Mitte) – known as „Berlin Cathedral“ – is one the best viewing spots, if you want to get a good view of Germany’s Capital from atop. As I actually have a weakness for angels, this fine Building is kind of a treat – although it is obviously more famous for being the burial place of the Prussian kings. But who cares for old Prussian bones if you can have angels (!)- and lots of them, too! I think it is a shame that noone ever tried to collect Berlin’s angels and give them a proper historic treatise in a book. Unlike the British, we Germans really care way too little for our angelic (and other) creatures as part of our cultural heritage. Shame.
